I know what it feels like to finally do it. And I know what it feels like to lose it all.
Since I was 14, I was the heavy kid. At 24, still 220 lbs. By 30, I'd climbed to 276. Life kept piling on — marriage, kids, bills, stress, no time, no energy. Food was always there when nothing else was.
Then one day I looked at my kids and couldn't keep up with them. I looked in the mirror and didn't recognize myself. I felt like I was running out of time. So I did something about it — and I lost 77 lbs.
I know what it felt like to go from 276 to 199 lbs. I felt like a different human. Happy. Energized. Alive. Like I finally showed up for my own life.
"Then life hit harder than it ever had. We almost lost our home. I was trying to hold it together for my kids while I was falling apart inside. And I turned to food."
I gained it all back. And I'm not ashamed to say it — because I know I'm not the only one who's been there.
Now I'm starting over. From scratch. Publicly. And I want you with me — because this time, neither of us is doing it alone. I know what works. I know what it feels like when it's working. And I know what it feels like when everything falls apart. That's not a weakness. That's the most qualified thing I could ever say to you.
